Flavio Venturini is a Brazilian singer and songwriter. A member of the most iconic and trendy Brazilian musical movement called Clube da Esquina, which took place in the 1980’s. Flavio Venturini spent most of his teenage years developing musical roots and substantially improving his piano playing abilities. Through time, Flavio proof to be one of the most talented and restless Brazilian artists, by travelling across Brazil and other countries, to play a very broad and diversified set of musical styles.
Flavio’s lyrics and melodies created ageless songs that also turned to be successful hits such as, «Nascente», «Todo Azul do Mar», «Noites com Sol », “Mais Uma Vez, “Linda Juventude” and many more. Flavio played on very popular bands like “O Terco” and “14 Bis”. By 1982, Flavio started his solo career by producing his first album «Nascente», which was acclaimed by critics and public, perpetuating songs like “Espanhola" and the title track, with dozens of rewrites.

The guitar player Sandro Albert will be playing with Flavio Venturini. Sandro has played, produced and/or recorded with major Brazilian and American artists such as Milton Nascimento, Lenine, Jorge Vercilo, Omar Hakim, Patti Austin, Airto Moreira, Flora Purim, Brenda Russell, Dionne Warwick, Rita Coolidge, Victor Bailey, Abraham Laboriel, Jimmy Haslip, Alphonso Johnson, Darryl Jones, Herb Alpert, Bill Charlap, Toninho Horta, Claudio Roditi, Buster Williams, Mark Egan, Danny Gottlieb, Russell Ferrante, Kenny Garrett, Fred White, Harvey Mason, Peter Erskine, Antonio Sanchez, Terri Lyne Carrington, Vinnie Colaiuta, Luis Conte, Bashiri Johnson, Leon Ware, War, Raphael Saadiq, James Ingram, and Robben Ford. Sandro is Brazilian and lives in New York City.

This concert will have opening by Ike Ramalho and Wen Wu. Ike, a Brazilian guitarist, singer, arranger, and music producer recently relocated to Arizona, his performances have been in high demand on important stages, venues, and events. Wen plays the clarinet, doubles saxophones and flutes and is an active performer in the Phoenix metro area, playing regularly with local theaters and a variety of other local ensembles.
