CHILI COOK-OFF, MEAD COMPETITION and COMMUNITY FUN!
Tickets will be available for sale ahead of time at Fantasia Crystals (5108 n. 7th street in Phoenix) for $10 (cash only) for this all inclusive event. Tickets will also be available at the park the day of the event. Bring $1 bills for the raffle and for cold water. Be sure and hang on to your ticket as you will need it at the event.
PAGAN PRIDE DAY NEEDS YOUR HELP!
We're looking for raffle items, a few readers, speakers, licensed massage therapists, musicians, face painters, henna artists, etc that are willing to donate their time and services for this event. Please send a personal message to Pagan Pride Day if you would like to donate your time and services.
Pagan Pride Day is working on having a variety of readers and other kind folks offering their services at the event which will be included in your $10 admission. There will be socializing, chili and mead tasting, free readings, entertainment. kids activities and a community ritual. More details will be posted as we get closer to the event.
Chili Competition: There are 3 categories- Best traditional (judges choice), Most original (judges choice), Best overall (picked by crown cheers). All chili must be served hot or it will be disqualified. Please bring extension cords for electric cookers. There are no fires permitted at the park. Prizes will be offered for the winners!
Mead Competition: ANY MEAD MUST BE BROUGHT IN PLASTIC CONTAINERS AS THE PARK DOES NOT ALLOW GLASS. The winner (best overall) gets a cool drinking horn donated by the School of Magickal Arts.
Chili and mead entries can be brought to the judges table between 11am and 1pm. Winners will be announced at 2pm.
There will be cold water and soda for sale (cash only please) There are drinking fountains on site as well. There is a nearby playground and restrooms.
This is a natural desert environment so please watch your children CLOSELY as there are sharp plants and desert creatures here. No glass containers are allowed within the park. Smoking must be within an enclosed car (per park rules). Please be respectful to park equipment, any desert creatures and all park visitors. Thank you for supporting Phoenix Pagan Pride Day!
